My story

The work of Christian Aid is motivated by Jesus’ instruction to love our neighbours and not ignore the suffering of others. For more information go to www.christianaid.org.uk

If you would like to make a donation to Christian Aid please remember that if you pay tax in the UK and give your permission through a Gift Aid declaration form Christian Aid can claim 25p on every £1 you donate making your gift worth more to the communities Christian Aid supports.

Donations go directly to trusted partners working on the ground and not to governments. There is a robust process for evaluating partners and projects to ensure the money is spent effectively and there is no corruption.

How your money helps

Poverty pushed Aline to the brink. She was abused, homeless and hungry. But Aline pushed back harder. With Christian Aid funded small business training, she achieved what had seemed impossible, a vital income for her and her children.

Fundraising this Christian Aid Week will ensure more people in Burundi get the skills and knowledge they need to push back against the inhumanity of poverty.
