There is no house-to-house collection in Postling this year, and I hope you will not mind this digital approach.

The impact of the recent Cyclone Freddy in Malawi has been devastating. Floods have washed away crops, over 500,000 people have been displaced and hundreds have lost their lives.

Other events have been displacing news amount the cyclone from our media, but Christian Aid's focus this year is on helping to farmers in Malawi to reuse their land, and plant crops, after the damage caused by the cyclone


How your money helps

Poverty pushed Aline to the brink. She was abused, homeless and hungry. But Aline pushed back harder. With Christian Aid funded small business training, she achieved what had seemed impossible, a vital income for her and her children.

Fundraising this Christian Aid Week will ensure more people in Burundi get the skills and knowledge they need to push back against the inhumanity of poverty.
