My story

Here's an example of Christian Aid's current work. When armed conflict swept through her community in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Chance fled with her newborn baby and eight children. Their long journey to safety in a temporary shelter left them with nothing, with hunger and risk of disease endemic. 

Through Christian Aid, families like Chance’s are receiving emergency cash grants allowing mothers to buy what their children need most – e.g. food, medicine, bedding.

Christian Aid works in 35 countries, providing immediate relief and longer-term support towards self-sufficiency. This Christmas, as we celebrate, please give what you can - you may save a child’s life.
