My story

This Christian Aid Week, I’m fundraising to support communities facing the climate crisis and hunger.

In places like Guatemala, farmers like Aurelia are fighting back against extreme weather that’s destroying their crops and food sources. Despite these challenges, they are learning new skills to grow resilient crops and protect their families from hunger.

Your support can help fund the vital training these farmers need. Please give what you can to help families like Aurelia’s build a sustainable future.

Day 23 Elizabeth's 100miles in May

Thank you very much for the sponsorship received so far. In fact I have collected, live, over £600.

I have walked about 86miles so far with a week to go so should be OK to finish 100miles by the end of the month.

I have done 2.5 miles this morning but hopefully I shall add to that this afternoon in Fleetwood.

Christian Aid is always in need of your support. Thank you.

Day15. Elizabeth's 100miles in May.

Today my friend and I went exploring a new route round Singleton involving crossing the new Garstang Rd on the enormous, very expensive footbridge, see the pictures on a separate Facebook post. A lovely local walk, much of it very much improved by the Singleton Trust.

Day 14.

Today's walk was with Fylde Ramblers. Walking from the small mill village of Caldervale through the bluebell wood to the church and across to Bleasdale Tower with its glorious garden of rhododendrons. Superb views as we walked back to the village - 5.75miles.

I'm over half way through my challenge.

Congratulations! This activity has received its first donation!

How your money helps

This Christian Aid Week, you can support communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis.

In places like Guatemala, extreme weather is destroying crops, deepening hunger and threatening livelihoods. But with the right tools and training, farmers can build sustainable futures.

Every pound you raise could help:

  • Provide climate-resilient seeds to help families grow food.
  • Fund water conservation techniques to protect crops.
  • Support vital training so farmers can build a sustainable future.
