I have been a supporter of Christian Aid for many years, and, along with many others, I have given and raised money for them to use to help people around the world.
During May I will celebrate a significant birthday, and I have decided to mark this by dedicating my regular walks, totaling at least 70 kilometres (about 44 miles) or more, to the work of Christian Aid.
Any donations that you can make will help to bring about positive change towards a world where everyone has the opportunity to live a full life, free from poverty.

Now I have walked a total of 44 kilometres. All the walks in the last week have been on various paths around where I live and work, in warm sunny weather. The next week should include one or two walks further afield.

Thanks to all the lovely people who have already made donations.
Because that is taking us close to the original target, I have increased it a bit.

A few people have asked me about this. The photo above was taken last month on a walk around The Long Mynd in Shropshire - the first time I had been there.
I hope to include a few walks in new places in what I do this month as well.
I have walked 23 kilometres in the first week of the month. Mostly on my regular walks around home, enjoying the bluebells in the woods before they fade, but also a walk around St Albans while catching up with old friends.
Congratulations! This activity has received its first donation!
