My story

I am walking my friend's dog Marna 70K this May as a fundraiser to help communities fight the climate crisis. I have a particular affinity for farmers like Aurelia who are battling extreme weather in Guatemala and I love that Christian Aid always offers support through trusted, relevant local organisations, to work in partnership with people trying to protect their farms and provide for their families.

Please consider sponsoring me, I am trying to raise £200 to support 10 families to access training and two pounds of climate-resilient seeds, so they can start to diversify their family’s crop and increase their resilience against the effects of the climate crisis. Real, practical, change that can make a difference and show that we care about our global neighbours battling the climate change we help cause.

How your money helps

This Christian Aid Week, you can support communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis.

In places like Guatemala, extreme weather is destroying crops, deepening hunger and threatening livelihoods. But with the right tools and training, farmers can build sustainable futures.

Every pound you raise could help:

  • Provide climate-resilient seeds to help families grow food.
  • Fund water conservation techniques to protect crops.
  • Support vital training so farmers can build a sustainable future.
