My story

Christian Aid does vital work with communities - of all faiths and none - to help them lift themselves out of poverty. 'Give someone a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach someone how to fish (and give them a net) and you feed them for a lifetime'

Please support Christian Aid in providing training, tools & climate resilience and make a huge difference in people's lives. Our walk is also a 'small cry of resistance and hope' following the USA government withdrawal of USAID earlier this year.

Your support, however much you can afford, will make a real difference.

£6 buys a pruning saw for a farmer's trees

£30 helps fund an organic fertilizer-making training session

£100 funds metal roofing sheets to protect a market stall holder and their produce

April and Philippa will be taking on the '70k in May challenge' by walking part of the ancient pilgrimage route 'Camino' from Sarria to Santiago in Spain.

How your money helps

This Christian Aid Week, you can support communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis.

In places like Guatemala, extreme weather is destroying crops, deepening hunger and threatening livelihoods. But with the right tools and training, farmers can build sustainable futures.

Every pound you raise could help:

  • Provide climate-resilient seeds to help families grow food.
  • Fund water conservation techniques to protect crops.
  • Support vital training so farmers can build a sustainable future.
