Marlow Christian Aid Group consists of churches across Marlow, Marlow Bottom, Bisham and Little Marlow working together to raise funds for Christian Aid.
During Christian Aid Week this year, volunteers will be delivering donation envelopes to homes throughout the area with directions to drop-off collection points and a link for giving online. Also, a concert is being held on Sunday 11th May at Christ Church Marlow by Taplow Youth Choirs and a sponsored walk on Saturday 3rd May from Bix, Oxfordshire with all proceeds from both events going to Christian Aid.
This year, Christian Aid is highlighting its work in Guatemala:
In Guatemala, the climate crisis is destroying crops and causing hunger for Indigenous communities. But with training, farmers like Aurelia are fighting back.
Aurelia has faced extreme heatwaves that have killed her crops, but through Christian Aid’s partner, Congcoop, she’s learning to grow resilient crops, make fertiliser and conserve water. She’s sharing this knowledge with others, helping her community build a sustainable future.
This Christian Aid Week, please give to support farmers, like Aurelia, in their fight against hunger and the climate crisis.
Thanks for your support.
