In Guatemala, the climate crisis is destroying crops and causing hunger for Indigenous communities. But with training, farmers like Aurelia are fighting back.
Aurelia has faced extreme heatwaves that have killed her crops, but through Christian Aid’s partner, Congcoop, she’s learning to grow resilient crops, make fertiliser and conserve water. She’s sharing this knowledge with others, helping her community build a sustainable future.
This Christian Aid Week, please give to support farmers in the fight against hunger and the climate crisis.
We shall be:
a. Undertaking the 70km in May challenge, with a series of walks on the Athelstan Pilgrim Way.
b. Undertaking a cycle ride (3 to 11 years).
c. Holding a Community Concert in the church.
d. Holding a special Christian Aid Family Service.
Please support us in supporting Christian Aid. Thank you.

We held our concert in the church on Thursday evening and it was wonderful!
Every performance was totally enchanting and it was quite the evening of discovery. The children - of all ages - were absolutely FABULOUS! The choirs held us all wrapt. Individuals entertained us. Each and every performance had us on the edge of our seats. What a show!
We just so appreciate this community and the goodwill that everyone shares, one with another. Everyone has been enormous generous with their time in planning and rehearsing and in performing and it really paid off. It was a real Kingdom moment. Humbling and beautiful - thank you so very much.
We completed the third walk on Tuesday, 13 May. It's wonderful to explore the area of North Wilts Deanery and the churches in it on the Athelstan Pilgrim Way. We're very grateful to the teams in the churches that we have visited who have opened their churches for us at our request - thank you. Our last walk of 12 miles involved a lot of road walking and was quite a slog but it all added to the sense of achievement and purpose. Our next week is on Saturday, 31 May.

We have completed two stretches of the Athelstan Pilgrim Way and will be walking a third section this week. The countryside has been lovely, the churches wonderful and the company superb. We have two more walks to do.
The children, aged 3 to 11 years old, have also been magnificent in cycling for an hour, reaching a total of 80 miles between them! Incredible!
Our Community concert will be held in the church of St John the Baptist, Colerne this week. Do come along!
