Christian Aid is such a wonderful organisation. I learned about their work especially via a member of Sherborne Abbey who after he retired from Christian Aid became a Chrisitan Aid 'volunteer' and has specialized in supporting programmes in Sudan and South Sudan for more than a decade, and in spite of the challenges, he is still going strong!
Two years ago I supported the Sudan Medical Link of the Salisbury Diocese of the Anglican Church, (an organisation with close links to Christian Aid's work in the Sudans), by using the route of the Stonehenge Marathon Walk to cover 66.6 km in ten hours at the age of 66 years and 6 days.
I'd love to become part of a Sherborne group which will promote Christian Aid's work against poverty and for justice and peace worldwide.
Any gifts made for this appeal will go directly to Christian Aid via the account set up by some Sherborne Churches for purpose of the 2024 Christian Aid week.

Poverty pushed Aline to the brink. She was abused, homeless and hungry. But Aline pushed back harder. With Christian Aid funded small business training, she achieved what had seemed impossible, a vital income for her and her children.
Fundraising this Christian Aid Week will ensure more people in Burundi get the skills and knowledge they need to push back against the inhumanity of poverty.
