My story

Leith St Andrew's Church is raising money so Christian Aid can help people like Jen, a loving mum in Malawi. She dreams of her children being able to have the education they deserve. Her hard-working boys have earned places at top colleges – but Jen cannot afford to send them both.

No mum should have the heart-breaking choice of which child to educate and which one will miss out on their dreams.

No hardworking young person should be forced to give up on education, locking them into poverty.

This Christian Aid Week, you can help dreams come true. Your envelope could help famers like Jen plant better seeds, secure a fairer price for their crops, and build happier futures for their children.

Together, we can help people secure a better future for their families, giving them the chance to fulfill their potential.

How your money helps

Poverty pushed Aline to the brink. She was abused, homeless and hungry. But Aline pushed back harder. With Christian Aid funded small business training, she achieved what had seemed impossible, a vital income for her and her children.

Fundraising this Christian Aid Week will ensure more people in Burundi get the skills and knowledge they need to push back against the inhumanity of poverty.
