My story

St Peter's Church in Burnham is home to Wednesday Welcome - a weekly coffee morning held in our church rooms.  

During Christian Aid week, we hold a special morning of cakes and good company to raise funds for Christian Aid Week as our contribution to that event.

Our lovely congregation and friends are asked and offer to make delicious cakes, biscuits and other treats for us to sell along with refreshing beverages.  The warm welcome is free and available to everyone!

We at St Peter's are a registered charity so the money comes in directly to us and we then send the final total for the event to Christian Aid.

How your money helps

You can support families facing the daily stress of food insecurity in Nairobi.

In the crowded and noisy settlements of Nairobi, parents like Fridah wake up knowing they must earn money – otherwise their children won’t eat that evening. But with tools, seeds and training from our partner, Beacon of Hope, families can grow nutritious vegetables in small city spaces and grow hope for the future.

  • provide seeds and tools so people can grow food in small spaces.
