For 80 years, Christian Aid has stood in solidarity with our most marginalised global neighbours, working to eradicate poverty and promote dignity, equality and justice.
To mark its 80th anniversary, the Cathedral has invited Christian Aid's Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Watt, to give an address and participate in a Q&A session.
This is a fundraising page to take cashless donations. You can also donate on the day via collection envelopes.
Funds will go towards Christian Aid's Christmas Appeal:
We're fundraising to support families who’ve fled violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Mothers like Chance are doing everything they can to protect their children, but life in temporary shelters means hunger and disease are a constant threat.
Through Christian Aid funding, and their trusted partner ECC-MERU, emergency cash grants are being given to families most in need. These grants give parents the dignity to choose what their children need most – whether that’s food, medicine, bedding or shelter.
Together, we must support families to survive violence and poverty against all odds.
With your help, the money raised could help families like Chance’s to buy food, medicine, bedding and other essentials.
