Duffield has a longstanding record of support for the annual Christian Aid Week fundraiser. A donation envelope has hit doormats for decades and this year will be no exception.
In recent years though, this has been a 'delivery only' envelope, with no knock at the door to collect, with the embarrassing look around for some spare cash! Instead we have a drop off point in the village at Town Street News (with thanks to Judy and Steve Clough) or an online giving page for those who don't use cash. We do hope that the generosity of those in the village, which has raised tens of thousands of pounds over the years, will be repeated.
Our fundraising is to help people push back against poverty and to help with urgent humanitarian relief, in places including Ukraine and Gaza
Christian Aid works with local partners, with the best contacts to ensure the money is most effectively spent. There are always more people Christian Aid could reach – and that’s why we are fundraising.
Together we can make a lasting difference. Thank you in anticipation for your support!
