In 2022, the Five Alive Parish, with Bishampton and Throckmorton, raised over £2,700 for Christian Aid Week, helping people overcome poverty. As we know, poverty continues, both here and overseas, because of so many things - cost of living, war and terrorism, storms, earthquakes, floods and famine - the list goes on.... We support many appeals to relieve poverty here at home but it doesn't stop here - we have helped Christian Aid to relieve poverty overseas for many years and continue to do so.
We all have dreams, as does Jen in Africa. No mum should have the heart-breaking choice of which child to educate and which one will miss out on their dreams. No hardworking young person should be forced to give up on education, locking them into poverty. People need education to break free of poverty, to secure a better future for their families and fulfill their potential.
Once more, we can help Christian Aid overcome poverty and make dreams come true by filling this digital "envelope"
