My story

Last month our Strathgryffe Rangers (Girl Guilding) group heard a talk about Christian Aid and all the amazing things it does.  We wanted to help Christian Aid Week this year so we decided to do a sponsored bike ride to Lochwinnoch. The ride takes place on Saturday 23rd May and it's going to be about 18 miles there and back.

We need your help.  Please sponsor us by clicking the donate button.  We'll need lots of encouragement and support, especially on the way back!

If you are a tax payer, please tick the "gift aid" box.  Without costing you an extra penny, it adds 25% to your donation - e.g. £10 becomes £12.50 for Christian Aid, £20 becomes £25, etc.

Thank you.

How your money helps

You can support families facing the daily stress of food insecurity in Nairobi.

In the crowded and noisy settlements of Nairobi, parents like Fridah wake up knowing they must earn money – otherwise their children won’t eat that evening. But with tools, seeds and training from our partner, Beacon of Hope, families can grow nutritious vegetables in small city spaces and grow hope for the future.

Every pound you raise could help:

  • provide seeds and tools so people can grow food in small spaces.
  • fund training so people can plan ahead and protect their livelihoods.
  • support community-led projects that strengthen food security and incomes.
