My story

In Sierra Leone, the climate crisis is destroying crops and threatening families’ livelihoods. But farmers like Maryama are sharing harvest and hope by adapting to these challenges.

After devastating floods ruined her crops, Maryama joined a Village Savings and Loans Association supported by Christian Aid. She is learning new ways to farm, access small loans and provide for her family. Maryama is also sharing these skills within her community, helping others to grow stronger and build a more hopeful future.

This Harvest, please give to support farmers like Maryama to share harvest and hope in the face of the climate crisis.

How your money helps

This Harvest, you can stand with farming families facing the climate crisis.

Unpredictable weather is destroying crops, making it harder to grow the food communities depend on. But with the right support, farmers can adapt and rebuild their livelihoods.

Every pound you give could help:

  • Provide training on climate-smart farming techniques.
  • Supply seeds and tools to grow crops that withstand floods and drought.
  • Support community savings groups so farmers can access small loans and plan for the future.
