My story

The effects of climate change, war and conflicts, hunger and poverty affect people around the world.

Here in Duffield, the majority of us lead comfortable lives that millions can only dream of.

Christian Aid works with partners in many countries, to ensure that donations are spent wisely and efficiently, to achieve the best possible results.

If you are able, please give generously, either by popping cash or a cheque in the envelope that was delivered to your home, and leaving it at Duffield News, Town Street, or online using the QR code or url.

We are grateful to our volunteers who deliver envelopes through every door in the village and to Steve and Judy Clough who allow us to place the collection bucket in Duffield News each year.

Thank you in anticipation

Congratulations! This activity has received its first donation!

How your money helps

This Christian Aid Week, you can support communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis.

In places like Guatemala, extreme weather is destroying crops, deepening hunger and threatening livelihoods. But with the right tools and training, farmers can build sustainable futures.

Every pound you raise could help:

  • Provide climate-resilient seeds to help families grow food.
  • Fund water conservation techniques to protect crops.
  • Support vital training so farmers can build a sustainable future.
