In Guatemala, gruelling heatwaves and extreme weather are destroying the crops that women like Amelia and Aurelia rely on to feed their families. The roots of this cruel injustice run deep. Indigenous communities like Amelia’s and Aurelia’s have done the least to cause this climate crisis, yet they endure its impact the most. As their land is devastated, the search for solutions becomes critical. With the support of Christian Aid’s partner, Congcoop, Ameila and Aurelia are learning how to plant resilient crops, conserve water and make fertiliser.
With your support, we can fund vital training, so communities can fight the effects of the climate crisis. Thank you.
