My story

There are so many people Christian Aid could reach – and that’s why I’m fundraising and taking part in 70K in May.

As an energy efficient (lazy) person, I've never done anything like this before. But, I hope to walk, jog, cycle, swim (and let's face it -crawl) to help raise some money.

Christian Aid are working in 37 countries, including Ukraine, and they know what they're doing- with over 75 years experience in the field.

They provide survival essentials such as food and shelter. But, they also give long-term support (like small business funding) that empowers people to build a safe and peaceful future for themselves and their families.

Something we all have the right to do.

Christian Aid support some of the most vulnerable and excluded people in the world.

They work with local partners to help prevent donations being stolen due to corruption.

Together we can make a lasting difference.  Thank you for your support!

How your money helps

Poverty pushed Aline to the brink. She was abused, homeless and hungry. But Aline pushed back harder. With Christian Aid funded small business training, she achieved what had seemed impossible, a vital income for her and her children.

Fundraising this Christian Aid Week will ensure more people in Burundi get the skills and knowledge they need to push back against the inhumanity of poverty.
