I’m taking on the challenge of running 70km in May. Why? To help people push back against poverty. Did you know, malnourishment and poverty affect more than 70% of people in Burundi?
Christian Aid are working to empower families in Burundi to build reliable and diverse incomes. But there’s more people Christian Aid could reach. That’s why I’m fundraising by running 70km from either my home in south London or from Christian Aid's office near Waterloo station to twenty one Christian Aid supporting churches in my local area.
Over May, I'm hoping to get to St Mary’s Battersea, St Leonard’s Streatham, All Saints West Dulwich, Beckenham Baptist, Beckenham Citygate Church, St George’s Beckenham, Beckenham Methodist, St Hilda’s Crofton Park, St Saviour’s Brockley Rise, the Grove Centre church in Sydenham, St John’s Waterloo, Southwark Cathedral, St Anselm’s in Kennington, Tooting Methodists, St Paul’s Herne Hill, St John the Evangelist in East Dulwich, St Barnabas' in Dulwich, St James in Clapham, St Luke’s Battersea, St George the Martyr in Shirley and finally to Shirley Methodist.
The money we raise can help ensure more people get the skills and knowledge they need to fulfil their hopes and ambitions. £10 could provide one person with the training that supports their family to set up a small business, such as selling home-grown vegetables.
Together we can make a lasting difference. Thank you for your support!
