My story

I’m taking on the challenge of 70K in May. I,m not affected by poverty, war or climate change but lots of people are and I,d like to do something to help.  Christian Aid is a great charity that does really carefully planned work in desperately poor parts of the world. I,'m  impressed that they recognise women and their active engagement in local projects connected with agriculture, and health , as absolutely key. I found the Christian Aid conference in London this year interesting and motivating. The speakers from Barundi, a desperately poor country in Africa, were impressive in their knowledge and commitment. Thank you very much for sponsoring me. I,ll be walking on Saturdays in May. I will be delighted if you join me!

How your money helps

Poverty pushed Aline to the brink. She was abused, homeless and hungry. But Aline pushed back harder. With Christian Aid funded small business training, she achieved what had seemed impossible, a vital income for her and her children.

Fundraising this Christian Aid Week will ensure more people in Burundi get the skills and knowledge they need to push back against the inhumanity of poverty.
